Spiritual & Wellbeing Gifts From Nepal

Updated: Mar 11, 2023

With Christmas just around the corner, I thought I would share some unique products that might be fun and also be uplifting for friends and family. If you are anything like me, any help is a bonus. Every year it gets more challenging to find that perfect gift for a friend or family member that has everything. Last year I had the amazing opportunity to visit Nepal for the 2nd time. The food and culture are in abundance, alongside skilled handicrafts. Here are some unique gifts that I couldn't wait to share with you.

Spiritual & Well-being Gifts From Nepal

Himalayan Salt Lamp

With more and more technology in our homes, offices, and surrounding us in public spaces it's time to relax and enjoy the beautiful pink warm glow of a Himalayan Salt Lamp. When it's on, it is said to produce negative ions that boost blood flow, improve sleep, increase levels of serotonin in the brain, and calm allergy or asthma symptoms. The negative ions also clear the air of cigarette smoke, dust, bacteria, and viruses.

Did you know the Himalayan Salt Lamp also contains 84 trace minerals essential to your health? Discover 10 reasons why you need a Himalayan Salt Lamp in your home.

I have had my own lamp for the past year sitting on my bedside table. I purchased it in Edinburgh at Otherworld Books. The room smells fresh and I love the evening warm glow. The only thing to beware of is to make sure it's turned on, on a regular basis as the lamp collects the water molecules with the trapped dust, etc, and if not switched on the water and salt seep from the lamp.

Prayer Flags

The prayer flags are used to promote goodwill, compassion, strength, and wisdom. The flags flutter the prayers and mantras in the wind spreading goodwill, compassion, etc.

I love the meaning behind them and have some in my own garden. This year at Christmas you could buy not only a unique and beautifully handcrafted gift but also support Tibet and Nepal.

Singing Bowl

The Tibetan Singing Bowl dates back to 2000 BC. Where they have been used for meditation and as offering bowls. Today they are taking the world by storm both in Physics and also in Sound Healing. Some charge their drinking water with this positive acoustic energy. Have you discovered the late Dr. Emoto? Dr. Emoto carried out studies on water and how it behaved when charged with both negative and positive affirmations. Amazing considering that the body is made up of a large percentage of water.

I haven't charged water as yet, but do love the sound and calming vibrations it gives. Love it possibly more as it was a special present.
