I hope you all had a wonderful time celebrating Chinese New Year - Year of the Monkey 2016. This year we celebrated with the Confucius Institute in Edinburgh.
It was a brisk night here in Edinburgh on the 12th of February but I was glowing at the thought of warm Chinese Dumplings and seeing the lanterns illuminate the sky.
A cheerful welcome followed by a glass of juice, beer, or wine before exploring the many rooms inside Abden House.
Each room was set out with a variety of entertainment and food. You could enjoy karaoke, and animations, or have a go at one of the board games.
The vegetarian dumplings were delicious!
Soon it was time to set off the sky lanterns.
