Christmas Gifts For Those That Love To Travel

It can be difficult with many seemingly, who have everything and would like to travel light. But have you thought of any of these!

Christmas Gifts For Those That Love To Travel

I Like to buy local from small independent stores and fair trade outlets. Have you ever visited the One World Shop here in Edinburgh? It's located at St John's Church just off Princes Street. They have an amazing selection of ethical products including jewellery, tea, health & body and lots more from around the world.

Travel Journal

The journals are made by hand, rich brown leather and the pages are unlined khadda paper. Khadda paper is made from recycled cotton, is acid-free and is a beautiful paper to write or draw on. It's not too heavy and they come in a variety of designs and sizes.

I love to take a journal with me while I travel to record and keep tickets, maps and other mementoes inside. It's a really thoughtful gift.

Globetrotting Bamboo Socks

Everyone can always use an extra pair of socks and aren't these amazing!

Bamboo fabric helps wearers keep pleasantly dry feet thanks to the hollow structure of the fibres which makes it super-absorbent. This means that the material effectively wicks moisture away from the skin. While keeping moisture away, this helps prevent foot odour.

They make great socks for running by keeping your feet cool and dry. Bamboo gives you a softer and more luxurious experience. Moreover, bacteria don't like to live and grow in bamboo fibre which makes bamboo socks naturally antibacterial.

Bamboo is very breathable and far better in this respect than cotton or wool socks.

Did you know they're also great for diabetics to help fight infections and improve blood flow to your feet?

I would love to give you a third gift idea but finding it hard to decide what the next big one would be. Depending on the person, have they already invested in a bamboo toothbrush & holder? Or what about a reusable water bottle? I always carry a re-useable fold away bag in my handbag/rucksack. It comes in handy. I hate having to take a plastic bag. Have you read Packing Without Plastic? Hope that helps and gives you some ideas for more ethical and sustainable Christmas gifts this year.
