A Load of Leaves - Creative Ideas With Leaves

Leaves are something of beauty in autumn and winter. Changing with the seasons as we all must. They show how to embrace change, and so the cycle of life goes on. Some leaves are said to be lucky (four-leaf clover), while others are symbolic too a country, like the Canadian Maple Leaf. Leaves can be found in all shapes and sizes. Here are some fun and creative ideas with leaves.

A Load of Leaves

Jewellery

The Forever Leaves Jewellery range by designer Adam 'Two Skies' McIntosh. Each Two Skies piece encapsulates real leaves in all its jewellery. Every single leaf product is unique - designed by nature! Amazing, delicate vein details in a surprisingly robust jewellery range. Each leaf is preserved in a nickel-free metal coating, which is then plated in silver, copper or gold. Some of the leaves used include Oak, Birch, Sycamore, and Cottonwood.

With Christmas just around the corner, these innovative, ethical, sustainable and beautiful designs are made with care right here in Scotland.

You can visit Two Skies, 5 High Street, Royal Mile, Edinburgh.

Across The Seasons Leaf Photographic Products

I love nature and enjoy photographing the changing seasons. Capturing the different states of leaves is one of my favourites. Excited to share that these are now available as mounted leaf photographs, framed leaf photographs, leaf photographs across seasons in various sizes and A6 leaf photograph blank cards. You can see some of my other work available for purchase at: Seasonal Gift Cards For All Occasions.

Did you know I also work on commissions? I have worked with commercial and individual clients to create unique and thoughtful pieces. If you have something in mind, get in touch via email, where we can arrange a time that suits you to discuss that ideal piece.

Autumn Photography Ideas

Autumn is the perfect time for evocative shots, such as empty city streets and misty woodland scenes. Those later sunrises and that hazy early morning light provides so many great photo opportunities. Remember the rule of thirds. Frame your main subject and keep the image clear from any distractions. Play with exposure and aperture settings to get more eerie (mysterious/spooky) images. Love autumn for its incredible light. Would love to see what you capture! Tag me @MDHardingTravelPhotography
